The Man in the High Castle, Amazon’s alternate history sci-fi Nazi show based on the Philip K. Dick novel, finally has a Season 3 premiere date – Oct. 5 – and maybe there won’t be as long a wait between seasons next time, because it’s already been picked up for Season 4, TVLine reports.
Season 2 premiered way back in December 2016 after a troubled production where creator Frank Spotnitz quit halfway through and the season was finished without a showrunner. For Season 3, Bosch executive producer Eric Overmeyer took over.
Amazon doesn’t release viewer numbers, but has said that the Season 2 premiere of The Man in the High Castle had the best debut weekend of any of its scripted series. The studio is in flux right now under new head Jennifer Salke after … (read more)
